and why french so douche?

Those are good. Last I had them, I tried both the ones imported from Santa Barbara and the ones imported from Japan and both were great (different textures).

i heard there's a shop in San Diego that sell fresh Uni by the box that only opens at early hours. The Uni begins as bright yellow and literally turns brown within 2-3 hours.

I get mine from a place in Gardena (Otafuku)

Because it's so expensive.

Yummy stuff. This is the thread I've been waiting for. ^_^

would love to try, but only fresh out the shell or.... whatever 🙂

My father told me it had the consistency of baby shit. Not appetizing.

blah, I didn't like it, it was way too salty. If this is what the real thing taste like then damn me for loving the processed/packaged ones.

You know I'm ashamed to admit it, I've never tried uni. I WANT TO! But I'm not a huge lover of shellfish in general, yes I know this isn't shellfish. How would you describe the flavour?

It is the consistency and texture of cold snot but I like the flavor. Very mild with a nice aftertaste. I love uni.
