He will not be remembered so much for his desperation to suppress the vote, as he will for the 500,000 dead Americans under his watch.
His going after the vote will likely benefit the integrity of future election as the election system is made more secure as states implement more secure and reliable elections.
My hope is that the Trump presidency ends up being viewed as a "wake up call" for American democracy.
Trump and his admin exploited the political system more than any president in recent memory.
I think the closet president to Trump (though WAY more competent) is Andrew Jackson. The quote "John Marshall has made his decision; now let him enforce it! " perfectly captures the ideology of the Trump admin. So what if the law says otherwise, who will enforce it?
Hopefully, that will result in stronger checks and balances to prevent this in the future.
