Why is this happening!!!!!!

I recently built my first system (See below) and i just got it all up and running but I have one problem. After a few hours of use when I try to open something such as Tribes 2, Outlook or IE Ii get illegal operation errors. This was happening to me in Windows 98 SE so I installed ME and it still happens.. Although a reboot fixes my problem, it still is a pain and shouldn't happen. I have a sneaky suspicion that it is the ram causing this. Anyways, I would REALLY appreciate your input.
Thanks,

Trial and error time. Take out everything extra you can think of and start adding things back in til you find the problem. Might also wanna try switching out the RAM as you said just to make sure. Is it a certain period of time when it happens after windows is loaded or just randomly?

What is that PC133 ram? Is it rated PC133 or was it originally PC66/PC100? If it's cheapo ram that could very well be your problem. Or if you have all the "turbo" settings on in the BIOS, it might not like them. Try using troubleshooting settings in the BIOS.

as mentioned, i would start with the ram. while it doesn't seem like you are trying to overclock anything at the moment, you might be running the ram at more aggressive timings than it can handle without realizing it. while illegal operation errors can be caused by many things, running the ram too fast is often the problem. set the cas latency to 3 and the settings to normal (if there is such a choice). after that (if it doesn't fix the problem) make sure you have the latest and proper drivers for your hardware. if all that doesn't help, try taking everything out and installing stuff one thing at a time and use the system for a while and try to replicate the errors (eventually you will probably hit on the piece of hardware causing problems). most importantly, be patient and thorough.
