Ok, i just got Sims 3 and its been very fun. The only problem is the lag. For me the lag has been pretty much unbearable and it has messed up much of the stuff that i try. I don't know why i have so much lag though. To me, the specks are better than the recommended. I don't think i have too much stuff on my hard drive. I've only used 92 out of the 320 GB of my HDD. Is that too much? Does anyone have any tips?

Could try Defragging but I doubt that will help, and your system isnt and all that great, but its not bad. You could try lowering settings and seeing if that effects performance at all.

Is there lag playing online or offline, because if its offline then its your hardware and you should lower settings so your fps is better.

Please tell us all about your specks.

Yep OP we need to know what kinda things you have in your system. Is this the only game it happens in? Run a virus scanner? Latest drivers?

I thought this game was only single player? What exactly do you mean by lag? Mouse lag can arise in some configurations when vsync is turned on. Or do you mean low framerates, and not lag?

I think the OP is referring to a low frame-rate problem. I checked on Sims 3 forums and saw some people having a similar problem. Try and turn down the graphics settings and see if that helps. Also disable any antivirus program while playing Sims 3.
