Why is this BE6-II Ver. 2.0 so slow?

I was running the board above with the latest BIOS (12-2001) and an 866EB overclocked to 150-160 FSB. Even at 155 2-2-2, I get lousy Sandra memory benchmarks: 218/220. It should be way higher than this for a 440BX motherboard at that FSB. Plus 3DMark2001/2000 bench real lousy.

I have the ram set to 2-2-2 in the BIOS and Sandra says it is running 2-2-2. I tried reinstalling Win98 and Sandra with the same results.

Is the latest BIOS allowing you super high FSB but somehow jacking back the memory or something?

Last night I just stuck in a P3V4X motherboard with a 600E overclocked to 144 FSB and I get 388/520 in Sandra, and this board overall smokes compared to the BE6-II at 150 FSB.

Any clues?
