Why is there not a time limit between thread creation?

Look at this asshole flooding ATOT and GH with 19 threads in <20mins. Wtf is this? Yeah the mods eventually clean it up, but I'm sick of seeing this shit week after week.

/rant.

Look at this.... posting in the wrong forum. Clearly this should be in forum suggestions, else moderator discussions. And, if time between posts was 2 minutes, there would have been 10 posts instead of 19. If this problem was happening 10 times a day, I think it would be an issue. But, we'll look at it. -Admin DrPizza

Yeah I know it's 15 seconds. Wooo big deal. It should be 15 minutes.. not seconds.

Anyway, some mod cleared all the crap out. Lock this.. delete this.. whatever.

If your post count is small, especially 1, you should NOT be able to create more than 2 threads in the first 24 hrs.

Somebody needs to call the # and report back what's on the other end. Otherwise I'm not entertained.

I seriously considered calling and recording the conversation, but I don't know whether I'll be hit with a $1 international call or a $40 premium rate and have them spam my phone with text messages from then on.

This is why that spam succeeds - even though it's gone in a short while, people call the number out of curiosity.

Better answer: it appears that the forum software doesn't allow it - the option would apply to all posts, not just new threads. So, if you want to only be able to post once every 15 minutes... I think that would be a very unpopular option for the members.

I like to think the best defense against any mischief on these forums are our human moderators. The trend towards implementing more rules, laws and limits will never be better than a thinking human being applying common sense to keep order.

The use of the little RED Triangle found down in the left corner is your answer.

EDIT: you want a major rewrite to what is at present a pretty ify progam?
