Why is there an " Is LCD good for gaming?" topic every other day?

It just annoys me how the topic's been beaten to death, there are multiple reposted threads on it, and newbies keep asking the same question =\

please learn to use the search button...

LOL... yep... i guess LCDs are the rage right now... i just got it anyway... the way i see it... people are waiting for the next best thing... which means they'd be waiting forever... oh well... i was at FRY's yesterday and half of the line before the checkout were buying LCDs... :Q

there will always be repetetive topics, thats what happens when you have thousands of people coming in and out of here all the time, and thats why you have the ability to choose which threads you read 🙂

the ultimate goal here is to stop making people keep reposting the same topics (which of course is an impossible goal to achieve 🙂 ), but I just happen to notice that this one in particular comes up more often than others, such as "AMD vs Intel", 'nVidia vs ATi", "why IBM Deskstars suck", etc...

Probably b/c people think that there is a ****CHANCE***** that ultimate LCD was just released the second they write their post and that for some reason, the same thread posted the day before is somehow out of date.

Seriously though, LCDs are pricey components, so I'm sure people want to research it thoroughly by posting here and getting 200 different opinions

As long as you have a pixel response rate lower than 30m/s. Your in the safe zone for buying a 'gaming lcd'.

Probably because CRTs are still better overall for gaming but due to the kewl factor they want "in" right now before it's too late and everyone on the block has an LCD but them leaving them feeling empty, left-behind and so very un-sheik.

Well, I hope the advice is..."Oh there great!" I'm still keeping my eye on the falling prices of BIG CRT's, with all the hype about LCD's...I guess at some point we were all newbies(just check the number of my posts)..? The one that was killing me was..."I just got a new fax machine and can't fax..." I'm not perfect either, I have a couple of good ones under my belt also...lol 😉

I dunno, but I'm almost sure it's the same people who ask "why is my 3dmarks tooo low?" every other topic in video forum.
