Why is there a black guy driving around in a Sour Skittles car?

This puzzles me and I can't figure it out.

I see this car around town occasionally. Late 80s Crown Victoria. Convertible. Bright green paintjob with white leather interior. Lifted and say 20" chrome wheels. Not overly "blinged" out, but a nice looking car. Except for the skittles...

There is a huge ass banner on each side that looks like this.

And there are big skittles painted all over the car.

Seem him just out and about on local roads. He's going the opposite direction and I'm going to work so I haven't been able to pull up beside him and ask.

Does this dude just really love Sour Skittles? Did they have some sort of contest and give away the car?

It boggles my mind. What's the deal?

I dont remember any contests involving an old impala, i could be wrong though.

Maybe the dude really loves his sour skittles.

It seem to be the new style at least in the south Take a big old land yacht put wagon wheels on it and and some pop culture logo. There are a couple around here one for M&M's one for Twix and one for John Deere

This thread literally made me lol. Maybe Skittles/Mars pays him to keep the banner on the side of his car?

Mr. Sweets? ?75 Chevy Impala sports coupe packs more flava than VH1.

by Maurice Bobb

Some whips speak for themselves. The model, the color, the bodywork, the customizations; long after the car has driven by, people are still talking about how friggin? tight it was. Somewhere in the leafy grid of Sumter, SC, there is a custom cherry-red 1975 Impala Sports Coupe, aka, the ?Skittles Car,? that has this to say to anyone who beholds its candy-coated goodness: come taste the rainbow.

The car?s owner, who prefers to be called Mr. Skittles, took his prized Impala to the boys at Mr. Scrape Customs with the sole intention of driving home in something candy?literally. ?It?s not just a Donk,? says Mr. Skittles, ?it?s a ?75 Impala Sports Coupe. I just wanted to be a little different. I used the Skittles theme because red is a loud color, but I didn?t just want it to be plain red. So I came up with the idea to use Skittles so the loud colors would really bring it out.?

These cars with the big ass wagon wheels crack me up. I saw a late 90's Crown Vic driving around here the other day that had more ground clearance than a frigging Hummer. It was painted yellow and blue, but I didn't see the side to catch what it said. I did see some small writing on the back, but I couldn't make it out.

A lot of the guys here into Donk cars and the like say "I want it to shine like a skittle". They pick similar colors to the candy as well.

that is all.

While this is not the same thing as what the Donk tards are doing, I would so totally do it. Practically free money!

Wow so I'm not the only one seeing this, and it's widespread.

kinda crazy that some are doing it just for shiggles and not getting paid for it.

some folks really put a lot of work into those things.

and yeah I could see rolling around town in an ATOT lowrider :p
