Because T.

even T rating would allow some blood

Not if the graphics are good enough.

graphics quality has nothing to do with ESRB rating. T rating still allows for some blood.

Alright, take Killer Instinct. Tons of blood, rated T. Now imagine that game with today's graphics. Still get a T rating? I dunno...:disgust:

That's because it's an older game; the rules apparently change. For example, Marathon 2: Durandal was a very gory game released back in 1995 on the Macintosh. It got a Mature rating. The PC version was released a little over a year later with the same amount of blood and gore and got a Teen rating.

EDIT: Besides, just read the ESRB website. It says right there that minimal blood is allowed.

You were saying that games today must get a Mature rating if they are too gory (which contradicts the official ESRB site) and said that insane amounts of blood was acceptable for a Teen rating back then, which isn't right because Marathon 2 got two different ratings.

Yeah, it's probably EA. They know they can sell it to more kids as a T game because of lame places like Wal-Mart. Way to go, Wal-Mart, I hate you.

EA doesn't give the games ratings, the ESRB does. If there was something in The Sims 2 that would give it an M rating, EA would Maxis take it out. EA is huge and evil.

There's nothing in the game itself that would directly earn an M rating...but you can upload skins and whatnot. At least you could in the original Sims that made the game a bit more...interesting to play ;)
