Why is the water around the Bahamas so blue compared?

I was just looking on Google earth and noticed it appeared much lighter in color than everywhere else, why is this?

I always thought that the oxygen saturation in the water was a bit higher. Making it a better place for things to live (thus all the tropical fish) and more blue.

Maybe they kinda of do like they do in Banff park.

Of course they have special water proof paint in the Bahamas instead.

Its a dumping ground to toxic waste. The side effect is blue water.
