Why is the volume full when starting and shutting down Win2k?

Why is the volume full when starting and shutting down Win2k? Is there anyway I can change this? I have an Sblive value with liveware 3.

I had the similar thing. Reinstalled Windows2000 and it worked.

As the answer to you questions, that happens because Windows2000 loads drivers first (including drivers for your SB Live!) and only after that services and other start up programs (one of them is volume control). I hope this helps,

What I mean is the opening sound is full blast, and so is the shut down, regardless of what my volume control is set at. I have disabled both of those sounds now, because they are too loud. I was hoping there was a way to get them to play at normal levels.
