Why is the TigerDirect thread stickied in Offtopic?

Simply ridiculous. Good job to the mods for not stickying useful and enjoyable threads such as Anubis' photo contest thread and stickying threads such as the TigerDirect one (so that they can drive more traffic to Anandtech sponsors? ).

We had nothing to do with it!

The impression I had received was that the poll was posted to get an idea of the general opinion of the Tiger Direct in the AT community. They (again, my impression) were looking to add them to the list of companies that would be shown in the AT RealTime Price Engine. I'm not sure why, but the thread fell apart (probably because Adul, who works for AT, did not post a clear question and reason for the threads' status). The thread was unstickied shortly after I posted a few comments to Kristopher trying to explain my thoughts on the issue.

(so that they can drive more traffic to Anandtech sponsors? ).

 Yea, those greedy horrible sponsors who pay their money out so you can use these resources for free.

Really, if you don't like it your free to post elsewhere.

If that were true (which is not apparently), that wouldn't be very ethical.
BTW, are you one of those "If you don't like Bush, move to Canada" kind of people or just flaming?

Maybe they just wanna know what people think of TD to get some input on a possibly future advertisement campaign?

And Bill is one of those people who post very informative technical posts, unlike the vast majority of the OT dwellers.

You sure whine and make a lot of demands for somebody who doesn't own AnandTech. They can do whatever they want with these forums without getting your input.

How is it not ethical? The forum hosts 78000+ registered users and thousands of users who visit the site on a daily basis. You think it's free to host all that hardware and bandwidth? And I like how you mentioned my sig when you're getting attacked because you're ungrateful.

I didn't say anything about his other posts. Infact, I've read quite a few of them.
Raging: I answered your first question a few posts above. About your sig, this is the first time you're posting in this thread, thus you don't have a point.
Anyways, no need to argue as the mods apparently don't have anything to do with it.
