Why is the Patent Office approving very wide patents?

If the patent office denies a patent it has to defend itself in court at government expense.
If the patent office approves a patent another company would have to sue the patent holder.
So its done to save money.

Government does everything to nickle and dime the customer and pass as much costs to the consumer as possible.

It's a case of we are working for them. As opposed to what government is supposed to be about. Them working for us.

It's a systemic problem and it exists here in Canada as well.
