why is the lightning 780 so overpriced on amazon?

because it's being sold by private parties THROUGH amazon who prey on naive people that don't price check?

Private parties often hyperinflate prices on amazon. Unless it's sold by amazon.com, you can count on getting ripped off 90% of the time

ah gotcha, that explains some other crazy pricing I've seen there lately.

Yeah, its quite pricey even for used ones too! Luckily for me though, I never received my games and I got 20% refund because of that.
