Why is the Great Steak and Potato Co. only located in malls?

That place is pretty good, but I've only seen it in malls.

Wish they had street locations.


I'm not trying to go up in a mall food court on my lunch break ...

Mmm-hmm. It's all about Profit vs. Expenses. Mall location = one bill to pay every month.

Street location = rent + electric+gas+insurance+exterminator, etc etc.

The Mall is expensive, but probably 1/2 of a normal store.

Yes.. I understand why businesses put location in malls

But this business only does malls.


If malls, are so much more profitable, why do you see a million more
free standing fast food places outside the mall ?


I'm sure the Great Steak could do both, like most others (Sbarro, Taco Bell, McDonalds, A & W, etc..)

They might figure that they are the equivalent of a take-out only joint with no possibility of making a drive-through work since the food prep takes too long.

In that case, only a mall or airport location makes sense.

Why can't Sbarro and other mall pizza stores deliver? I love their pizza.

How can I forget CINNABON!!!!!!!!!!

I emailed them a picture of me enjoying one of their tasty cinnabons and they sent me a gift certificate for a free cinnabon. That's awesome.
