Why is the Duron 650 cheaper than the 600? Does it matter which one you get for OC'ing?

Anything special about the 650 to make it cheaper? I take it these are all made in Austin, hence they would be aluminum based core?

Thanks in advance

Is there any stepping that is better for overclocking?

Probably because the 600s are harder to find. They are effectively the same cpu anyway so get the cheaper.

Simple supply/demand. The 600 has been out of production longer, thus is more rare pushing the price up. Doesn't really make much sense(that anyone would attempt to charge more for a slower cpu), but that's how it works. Another possible reason is that the vendor simply hasn't removed the 600 from their price list, but have been updating current prices for other cpus.
