Why is the Big Ten getting hosed in bowl games?

First Michigan gets it in the ass in the Alamo Bowl... now Iowa gets absolutely hosed all day long in the Outback???

Any minds have thoughts on this?

EDIT: Not talking about performance - bitching about the refs. If anyone saw the end of hte Iowa game, they'd understand.

Wisconsin is doing well in their bowl game, leading 17-3 and marching down the field right now.

the refs in the michigan game sucked for both teams for the whole game.

refs in the iowa game were terrible, but iowa did dig themselves into a nice hole for most of the game.

In the Iowa game at the end of the 1st half Iowa stuck FL to a punt situation. They got flagged on a tic tac foul on the punt. FL got the first down. Then Iowa stuck them again and nailed on a completely ridiculous "helmet to helmet" foul resulting in another first down and ultimate giving FL a touchdown chance.

That took a 17-7 game and turned it into a 24-7 going into halftime. It could have been a 17-14 or a 17-10 game with momentum in Iowa's favor going into the locker room.

Yes, Iowa gave away two turnovers. But the refs completely burried them going into the halftime and then further killed any chances by blowing the offsides call on the onsides kick.

even without the calls before the end of the first half, there is no way you can just assume Iowa would have scored there...it could also very easily have been a 17-7 game going into halftime

Florida played better, period.

Disagreed. Look at the stats - even across the board.

It could have easily been a 17-7 game going into halftime - and should've - had the refs not threw one extremely terrible flag on a phantom helmet-to-helmet and one iffy running into the punter flag.

Here's a link to the offsides call on the kick - keep in mind, the Iowa player appears to be over the line - but the ball has already been kicked.

i completly agree w/ you vi... BUT, lets not complain too much about it either. I am not saying you are, you are being very logical etc. And i am a huge hawkeye fan, but i don't wanna look like those bitchy whinning michigan fans, cuz they just disgust me. the complaining fans are almost as pathetic as their shiit coach.
