Most of the stuff that comes there is of high quality, bankok is suppose to be a nice city, is thailand the chinese japan? Or something like that? Cause I personally don't like anything about china (mostly due to it being communist).

QFT

First we must ask ourselves if the US is the Candian Mexico.

I think it's more appropriate to say that Canada is the Mexicon US, from an american's point of view of course.

It's so freaking cheap... I mean get past the whole prostitution thing.. Buying stuff is just so DAMN CHEAP. I've been to Taiwan. Street vendors are damn cheap, but when you go to Thailand even the Taiwanese go HOLY SH!T everything is 2 cents here. It's like maybe even cheaper than China.

I've spent a few months in Thailand. You have to see it to believe it. It's an amazing country. Been there 2 years in a row now.

It's cheap and you basically can have a blast there no matter what you're into. Sex, shopping, scuba diving, hiking, temples, jungle, beaches, etc etc etc

All the sex you want for $20 a day?

Too bad it's with a tranny.

/learned the hard way

:Q. so how'd u find out?

i had a friend who's XBF did a ceremonial marraige (couldn't do official, but i'll get to that shortly) w/ one. He apparently couldn't tell for awhile, and the marraige required that there's a M, and F in the official state papers. In the forms, it's kept showing up as "M" in the bride's forms. The bride apparently did a sexchange operation.

apparently, it was done so well, that the guy couldn't tell. now he understood why she/he'd always lick her hand, and put hand in crotch.

mm.

I saw guys fall for it in Thailand. Granted I think they wanted to. It's amazing what alcohol can do to your senses.

My suggestion is to have a good wingman in Thailand for the first month at least. Either that or don't get too drunk.

that's because you're a fvcking dumbass.

Thailand is aweseome because of the people. Being mainly Buddhist, they are genuinely a very warm and peaceful folk in a way thet you'd never see in a western (ie christian-based) population. People smile in a genuine way, they respect each other and stick to their customs. They're modest, quiet and pleasant people.
The physical country is also stunning...

Easiest way to figure why I personally enjoyed the place so much to to check out the blog I wrote last year when I went out there solo (hit the november archive to get the whole thing).

I'm just kidding, I never went to Thailand. If you believed it then you're a fvcking dumbass.

My friend told me a story of a guy he knew though..that when he was in TJ he got drunk one night, tried to find a girl and what not..but failed, and said fck it, I'm getting a prostitute. He found one that said, "I only like to do it itb", to which he said, whatever fine. So he gets going and all, and shortly before he's about to finish, he reaches around, feels a little more than what he was hoping for, FINISHES, then punches him/her out.

Either way though, reach around ftw!

Seriously, not liking China because it is communist is a pretty Cold War era way of thinking. There are LOTS of reasons to not like it, record on human rights, abysmal environmental practices, the list goes on. But for being "Communist" ? Not so much...

On March 4, 2003, I had the chance to hear Mr. Masahiro Yashiro (then president and CEO of Shinsei Bank) give a presentation at the Foreign Correspondents? Club in Tokyo. In the Q&A session, he was asked this question: ?Do you think that the current pace of financial deregulation in Japan is appropriate??
He answered:
?I recently had lunch with a few of our young guys, one from India, one from China and the third, Japanese. The woman from India asked me the exact same question. I told her that if the current pace of financial regulation in Japan were to continue, then in 10 years from now only three communist countries would be left in this world: China, Cuba, and Japan?. Said the Chinese: ?With all due respect, Sir, in 10 years there will be only two, Cuba and Japan. ? So, the short answer to your question is ?no? (smile).?
