Usually a site gets censored when we have received a lot of spam from/linking to it.

It was indeed a film/TV show download spammer. I edited the link to narrow the censored range to the area on shoryuken where they post those threads. It's now shoryuken.com/forum/index.php? events (without the space before "events"). You can check it to see that it's still being used to host such spam.
