I have a similar spindle... shipping weight would be approx 2.5 pounds plus wrapping/shipping materials, plus delivery confirmation, plus his time and transport to actually ship the item.

just so happens that the usps site is not working for me, so I cannot find what they would charge for 2.5 pounds media mail with DC.

:)

edit: site is working for me now.

2.5 pounds media mail from the east coast to the west coast, with DC = $2.81
that leaves him with $2.14 for a box, bubble wrap,... his time to wrap, his gas and his time to go to the post office.

Dunno, doesnt seem overly excessive to me, but I sell on Ebay so I guess I have a different persepective.

I don't think thats excessive shipping..

why would it be illegal? I dont understand your question.. Did the seller say it was illegal? or is it because the UPC code is missing? I assume it's missing because he got some sort of rebate.

this is what is says on the usps site for media mail

"Used for books, film, manuscripts, printed music, printed test materials, sound recordings, play scripts, printed educational charts, loose-leaf pages and binders consisting of medical information, videotapes, and computer recorded media such as CD-ROMs and diskettes. Media Mail cannot contain advertising."

It's legal. Any media without advertising is legal.

Anyways, $4.95 is perfectly acceptable for shipping but who buys CDRs from eBay?

I did when 8x was the fastest writer you could buy. I bought 100 imations for $14 including shipping, even with hot deals they were still in the 30-40 range.

Its not me or the seller who is misinformed, there are some maybe 1 out of 10 ATOT members here who are misinformed; they kept argueing with me that it's illegal. Well now we know, lmao.
