From what I hear, Penn is closed, and they are right next door. Drexel has a LOT of commuter students, and what's the point in us going to class when our teachers aren't even comin?

I went to school at Northern Michigan Univ. for 5 years. They only closed the school twice, on two consecutive days, because the temp (w/ wind chill) was at 60 below zero.

That's because they want to keep you guys working a full day.

They no damn well we wont be going to classes but they want to keep the administrators working.

Oh well... I get out of work in a few hours and then I will attempt to get back to CAC.. hopefully it won' t be that bad.

the worst was one day i had a final and every single school in the area (including the 4 universites and 3 colleges) all closed but mine
it sucked.

but yeah, there have been normal school days when the weather sucked but school was still open but my profs all cancelled their classes.

Yep, same here. 5 years...only closed twice, due to cold (-70F on the foot bridge, -50F everywhere else.....I hate that damn bridge, windchill's a b!tch!).

The Governor here decided to shut down a bunch of stuff today. That's the only reason we didn't have any class before noon today. I got up this morning at 10:30 to go talk to one of my professors and it was like 40 degrees. Wasn't raining or anything. I couldn't help but laugh.

Nice, though, that they did cancel classes before noon. I only have one before then, but one out of two ain't bad :)

Doesn't help when your car doesn't start and you'd get frost bite by just walking out to it.

Well the frost bite comment was only in reference to the extremely cold days I mentioned earlier in this thread.

The low has been about 4F (without windchill) so far this week, but it's not even January yet. Currently it "feels like" -1F, it'll "feel" about -15F to -20F at night.
