Why is Paul Ryan incapable of telling the truth?

People here are already aware of Paul Ryan allery to the truth. Obama removing welfare work requirements, Obama blamed for auto plant closing, 716B medicare, etc.

I had to really laugh at this one. In an interview with runners world he claimed to have run a marathon in under 3 hours. I know from other runners this is competition level results. Turns out his actual time was over 4 hours. This guy is a fitness nut (not the perjorative). He would be keenly aware of what a sub 3 hour marathon means.

Anyone remember one our favorite ex dictators Kim Jong IL who famously claimed 38 under par in an 18 hole golf cource that included 11 holes in one?!?

This in of itself is not be a big deal but if its so easy to lie about little things can he be trusted with big things?

Because no matter what he says and no matter what evidence is presented you hacks will still call him a liar.

This really cements Ryan as having issues with the truth. This isn't even something political, just a personal achievement and he still lies about it.

Ryan clearly understands that he has to lie his way into the VP's office, just like his partner has to lie his way into being POTUS.

Their logic - Lies wins votes, so what's the problem?

It sure is funny how now all of a sudden we are so critical on the truth when in 2008 Obama basically got a free pass to spew any bullshit he deemed fit.

He's definitely showing signs of being a pathological liar. This is an area he really had no reason to lie about. Not one vote will be cast because he ran a sub 3 marathon.

Let's keep this thread on topic. We're talking about Paul Ryan. Not Obama or the democrats. You're not going to win this argument meandering like that.

Do you honestly think anyone takes you seriously here?

Sure, attack the messenger. Even if you believe that he is a broken clock, he isn't wrong here. Ryan strolled up to the GOP convention stage with his pants flaming like the fire of a thousand suns. Even Fox News, right-wing bastion of journalism that it is, called him on his bullshit. I know that all politicians lie, but Ryan has shown himself recently to be a clear outlier amongst that set.

If he did lie, then why is there so much outrage for him but none towards democrats and obama?

Specifics, or we don't buy it.

On another note, I welcome all right-leaning members of this board to hold Mr. Obama and Mr. Biden to the highest standards of verifiable truth when the Democratic convention rolls around.

If we want to see who is more honest, lets do an all-out comparison of their convention speeches with those of Romney and Ryan. We should be letting fact-checkers dictate the narrative of this election!

He who, the OP or Ryan? I don't follow because of the pronoun. :hmm:

But as I mentioned in a post I typed while you responded, if Obama and the Democrats lie, they should be taken to task for it. I have called for a fact-checking comparison of their convention speeches next week with what we just saw from the GOP.
