I've noticed that OE is much faster when downloading email tha Outlook, why is that? Email d/l is almost instantaneous compared to Outlook. Is there a speed tweak that will allow Outlook to be as fast as OE?

I can't tell a difference between Outlook and OE in the speed of the downloading of messages. Do you have filters enable in Outlook that could be scanning messages for certain text? OE definitely opens faster that Outlook though.

Well, I do have some rules, but they all scan messages after they arrive. And I was not referring to the speed of the program itself, simply tha OE seems to download messages faster.
