Why is our health system so screwed up?

I have no idea what you're talking about. My health plan is covered 100% by my employer. The only thing I pay is a dispensing fee for meds, which is normally $3.00 a prescription. I get into the doctor without waiting that long, and I generally enjoy the speed of the whole process.
 
I wouldn't, but as a college student $196 is about as much as I go through in a month. I have no income, and apparently no coverage now either.
Was there a generic available? Did you tell the physician that cost was a concern before she prescribed it?
 
That little tricksy pharmacist line I'm having trouble believing. I've gone fro hundreds of percrption and never heard them say the pill amount unless I asked. Why would he want to play games with you?

EDIT: and exp socialised medicine is practiced in every cililized country, but were not so I guess thats ok.
