Why is one of my computers asking for router PIN? The network password doesn't work.

I entered the pin located on the back of the router and it connected; but why did it ask for the pin and not accept the password? The other computers and tablets and phones all connected fine without asking for the pin.

Router: ASUS RT-AC66U
Problematic PC: older Dell Studio XPS 1640

If yo want to use secure passwords you are better off diabling the PIN Thingie in the Router.

The PIN arrangement is meant to make it easy to people who finding the secure password system challenging their intellectual capacities.

Oh yea, I figured out the problem I forgot to set my new password for both bands, so the password really was incorrect. That was the issue.
