Puritian ideals at any rate.

um...no.

Nudity is considered bad because humanity nowadays has such a perversion with the human body. Society and the media puts so much emphasis on the body and has made it practically taboo.

I mean, I guess it could be Christian ideals but I just don't see the correllation

It's been like this for hundreds of years... it's changed a bit, but the basic concept that naked = bad stems from religious ideals

I just don't see the connection. It seems to me that it's mainly because humans have such a perverted concept of the human body

Ummm No. I'm not skinny by any means, but I'm not offended by nudity at all. I don't necessarily want to see everyone walking around the streets naked, but naked is beautiful.

I'm fat, and I think nudity is fine.

in past times you wanted as many barriers to people's B.O. as possible.

it was simple logic. the nastiness of their existence kinda confirmed that uncovering their dirty bodies would be bad.

back in caveman times when someone died they stole all of their fur and stuff so they were naked and dead. therefore seeing someone naked became associated with death.

or at least thats what my invisible friend says.

The real reason is that men with small penises conspired to make society think that nudity is bad. Think about it. Who would prefer it if we all wore clothes? You guessed it -- men with small penises. Why? Because we don't want anyone to know we have a small penis. Wearing clothes makes it possible to hide our secret shame.

the hell if i know. come to think about it, we live in a society in which competition is the norm. better car, better job, etc. so could you imagine if we walked around naked?

guy: *pout* that guy over there has a bigger one than me.

girl: *amused* yeah but he isn't circumsized :p

guy: good point! (pun intended).

girl: his car is better than yours, though...
