why is not hotmail allowed?

Why can't I use my Hotmail account to register?? I use different email addresses for certain subjects. I don't want to use my stupid ICQ mail account(which is allowed...), or get yet ANOTHER email account. I already have an email.com account, and 2 hotmail accounts.
