Why is my printer going so slow?

i got a hp deskjet 940c and for some reason its printing REALLY REALLY slowly...any way to see what the problem is?

Check the CPU usage during printing, depending on what type of file/document/picture you print, it can take different times.

Check the quality the printer is set on.
