Why is my Optical Mouse Light On when System Is Off ?

Silly question, but I just finished building a new system MSI K8N Neo2, A64 3500+ etc... when my system is powered down the optical mouse light is still on ? what gives ?

It's normal. The system remains powered even though it's off. Just like a TV set is.
