my note 2s about 10/11 months old but my batts fine. have max brightness on all the time as i see no point in lowering it. 3g on all the time, bluetooth etc and can make it last 2 days.

rogue app, or poor batt is my guess

My note 2 battery has been going too. It is probably an age thing. I would get rid of Google plus but I have it to automatically backup my camera photos.

What is this jedi rom that improves battery life?

OP probably increased the brightness so he can actually see the screen during the day. THat's a big no-no when it comes to AMOLED screens, you know that!!! Go back to 1% brightness and all black themes...

Note 2 on auto brightness blows away the HTC One and every single Sony Xperia smartphone in battery life. Thread crapping is lame.

On topic: A 2 year old lithium ion battery that was used normally should still work about 80% as well as it did when brand new. Sudden cases of really bad battery life is pretty much always because of an app.

Might check Google Maps and see if location reporting got turned on. That was annihilating the battery on my GS3 till I figured that out.

I ran Jedi for a bit, but like all other international base ROMS it doesn't work correctly with a network extender. Otherwise it is pretty slick.

You don't need to calibrate batteries on modern smartphones. Note II especially - the of fuel gauge monitor is really solid.

Op, you need to click on the graph and provide a picture of that. Then you can see if your phone is awake when the screen isn't on. Also, I find wake lock detector a lot easier to read than better battery stats :)

I installed wake lock detector for the sake of testing, i'll go through my usual day and post results.

I think it's probably one of the updates. Google+ was a big battery drainer for me.

Uninstalled google+, lets see if that helps, thanks!

Just checked it and it looks fine. Is there a way to see the actual capacity remaining?

I did have this turned on because I occasionally use GPS. I'll turn it of and see if there is any difference.

Hey all, thanks for the advice. By combining everything you all recommended, my battery life is back to normal, if not slightly better.

OH CRAP!!!

I know why mine is doing so well.
I got a third party extended batter (still fits inside the case) and I been swapping it out once a month with the original battery.

Good idea. My OGP's battery is amazing as well. I can take it off the charger at 5AM at 100% and it'll still be at 100% at 12PM with minimal usage. I charge it every other day. Love this phone. Paying $440 makes it even sweeter:)

OP you need BetterBatteryStats and/or Wakelock Detector and to identify those wakelocks. It's hard to help you with JUSt the battery screen.
