why is my nero always flashing?

Hi, i have the Nero 5.5.1.0 version, i believe the latest one.

when i burn cdaudio. the source directory always flashes.

when i scroll down, it flashes then back to the top again. so i can't scroll down.

what is happening.??

i have WinMX, ICQ winamp running in the background.
