why is my monitor lagging?

I have a 17" lcd thats connected to my radeon 7000 through dvi...it has never lagged before...but I rebooted today after uninstalling a program and now it lags...I mean when I scroll up and down real fast it cant keep up....any ideas on how to fix it??? I have the latest drivers, and I tested it without any programs running so I know my computer isnt lagging...help me please!!!!
 
It shouldn't be your monitor, did you update your drivers prior to the reboot? It sounds like a 2D acceleration issue with your vid card. Adobe Acrobat reader tends to be particularly nast with it if that is the case, so try out AR and if it is noticeably slower then the other slowdown, it isn't your monitor. If it isn't any slower.....? I've never heard of a monitor slowing down to a noticeable degree(though I suppose on a theoretical level it would be plausible on a LCD..... maybe).
 
thansk for the help...turns out it was the ATI driver....dont know why it just started doing that...rolled the driver back to the xp driver and its fine
