Why is my friend still banned?

However, the mod said he will only be gone for a few weeks. It is already over 6 months now. What gives?

you can't be unbanned unless you remind the mods that you are banned and your vacation time is over.

fusetalk doesn't have an automatic unbanning feature, afaik.
