Why is my framerate horrible in 3d aquarium screen saver with my geforce 3?

I used to have a tnt1 running in a 464 celeron setup and 3d aquarium screen saver used to run fine. Now I have a 1.4 tbird with 512megs of ddr and an asus v8200 geforce 3 and it runs horrible. Of course, I have quincunx FSAA enabled, but would that really make that much of a performance drop on this program? (I mean come on, there are only three photo realistic fish) When I turn quincunx off my framerate sky rockets and the fish swim all smooth. Does anyone else have to turn FSAA off to run 3d aquarium?

It runs 50fps @ 1024 768 4xFSAA on my GeForce GTS at work. Try changing your desktop color depth, it might work....

Whoa, this is strange. Not but FIVE minutes ago I ran the screen saver after rebooting and it still was bad. Now after this post it suddenly went back to normal and I didn't even do anything! oh well, thats good.
