Why is my f-ing computer recognizing my 1 dvd/rw drive as two seperate drives

Any ideas? One is labeled CD drive and the other DVD/RW drive. But there is only one drive connected.

And it's set to master and cabled correctly for sure..

Try deleting all incidence of it in the Device Manager and re-do a hardware recognition again. If the same thing happens, check the bios to make sure it is recognized correctly.

I tried both of these approaches and either worked. Any other ideas?

Are you sure one of those drives isnt a virtual drive that Alcohol or DaemonTools implements?

Sounds like you might have some virtual drive software enabled.
