Why is my CPU overheat during lock screen?

I found that my CPU temp raise from 50c to 70c and I can hear my CPU fan spinning loudly during lock screen after a period of time. Here's my details:

• OS: Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1
• Resolution: 1280x720
• CPU: i5-3470 Intel stock cooler

Your OS is likely during maintenance tasks (updates, virus scanning etc), which is normal. Also, your CPU is not overheated at 70C.

Yes. I also found that my graphic card temp raise from 40c to 60c during lock screen after a period of time.

Do you have a screen saver? (Personalize > Screen Saver)
