Most likely, it's just something tweaky with your drivers. Try restarting the machine and/or switching color modes.
 
I called Cleo the psychic, she said to tell you a yellow cow represents fear; when the fear is gone, the cow will no longer be yellow. Sorry I can't tell you more, my free minute ran out 🙁
 
a screen cap wouldnt be showing an incorrect monitor setting...
so it must be a driver problem, or some of the settings in the driver menus.
(forgive me if I'm a little off right now.. been a long day)

That happened to me when I was at 32bpp desktop and selected "show icons using all possible colors". Can't remember where that buttons is though 🙁
