Why is my computer running slow?

When I open up programs, even windows explorer, it takes way longer than usual, I tried defraging but it didn't help, any ideas?

I have that same exact case and I love it. Anyways...what progams have you installed? Running any anti-virus software?

I love the case also, I don't have any antivisus or much of anything else running in the background.

Reinstall Windows© You probably have a lot of clutter in the Windows directory and the registry ¥the most evil "feature" ever, IMO¤©

Check your font directory. If you have way to many, get rid of some. I used to have a list of the ones that you could get rid of without causing problems to windows. Some are needed to run windows. Some programs will load their own fonts, and thus cluttering up the font directory. You can use the tools with windows to see if the font is a system font that is required also.
Other then that, format the hard drive and start over with Linux. go with the Penguin.
