why is my bold text blurry in WinXP?

I just installed WinXP and I noticed that any bold text is blurred. Is there a setting or is it my video card? I'm using a GeForce DDR and Det 4's. Sorry if this a repost. Thanks.

Are you possibly reffering to ClearType?
Doesn't really seem blurry to me, I actually love ClearType, so maybe it is something else....

And you really should upgrade to the Detonator XP drivers (is that what you mean by Det 4????)....

Yeah. By Det4's I mean the Detonator XP's. I'm using Standard instead of Clear Type because I actually think clear type is a little blurry. 🙂

You know what? After looking at it for a while, it's not as bad anymore. I can't even remember if it looks different from Win2k anymore.

The blurriness in screen names in AIM is more noticeable but maybe it's just me. 😕

I turn off the "smooth font" feature 'cause that makes the text blurry on my monitor.
