why is my battery life dying soo quickly????

hey guys...

ive had my compaq evon610c for about 16 months now..and i love it.. the batterly life to begin with was about 3 hours on a full battery.....all of a sudden..within a matter of days..it went from 2 hours to 1 hour...i dont know what the deal wit that is..but does it have to do with me upgrading my memory? is there anything i can do to improve battery life...or is it time to reach into my college student pockets and get a new one?

Have you done a power cycle.... charge/discharge completely
One note though if its Li-ion, do not over discharge it....
You should probably lookup battery maintenence on the compaq website.... I got my info on the IBM website....
