I just received my 1tb hd. took it out of the box, and plugged it into my Thermaltake Blacx. My laptop doesn't see the drive in my computer. Can anyone help me out?

USB or eSATA connection?

Did you initialize, partition, and format the disk in Windows Disk Management? Unless you do this, the disk won't show up in Windows Explorer.

Ahh. This is why! I forgot that I had to. The only time I have to partition is when I install windows. It has been a while. Thanks!

This kinda blows for people who are not saavy. They wont know where to go or how to go to disk management. That is a downfall, But good news is once you do it your set. You do it once. gg and gl
