Why is Jackie no longer on the Howard Stern show?

I haven't been able to listen to the show lately. I know AJ took his spot. Whatever happened with Jackie? Any links?

i haven't listened to HS in a few years, but he and jackie were always haggleing over $$

i would guess that the contract came up again and jackie wanted to many $$ for howard's taste

i haven't listened in a while either but i'm pretty sure that's what happened.

EDIT: i remember for a while they did the show without jackie but before artie and it wasn't very good.

AJ is long gone as well....he punched Stuttering John and I think they told him to take a hike... Artie Lang is now the "Jackie" on the show.

Jackie left the show after contract negotiations, I think they finally had it and said OK, see ya. AJ, Craig Gass and several others temporarily replaced him, but AJ punched Stuttering John and got kicked off the show.
Artie Lange is now the permanent replacement. This all happened quite a while ago, BTW.

I don't think Jackie will ever come back, there is some bitterness there, plus he worked on the "Are You Hot" show that Howard filed a huge lawsuit against for stealing ideas from his show.

Craig Gass was funny as hell... I loved him coming in dressed in KISS makeup when Gene Simmons was on the show... great stuff. 🙂

Note: I only get the E! show... never actually heard the radio show.

I used to listen to Howard on the way to work & school.. now that i work at night, i never have a chance to listen. Much of his show went downhill after his divorce from Allison.

I've never heard him whine about how he couldn't get a woman. He's had plenty of women since his divorce.

The current days show (in mp3) is always up by the time I get home in the afternoon, and it is commercial free.

Howard has a serious girlfriend now so he doesn't complain anymore.

I just started listening to it this year, and I think it's hilarious. I can't speak to what it was like years ago, though.
