A thread that is deleted immediately is Because it is offensive,

Does not seem to be always enforced my Jesse Jackson joke was deleted even after I edited it but a thread that says that man man will get shot because the poster doesn't like his song is allowed to remain that doesn't seem fair.

There are a lot of things here that aren't exactly "fair". The mods, however they might want to project an even-handed justice, are still human, and each of them makes judgment calls everyday. Whether they made the right decision is ultimately up to the mod staff.

Best course of action would be to:

1. take notice of the locked/deleted thread but DO NOT take it personally.

2. If you really don't understand why it possibly could have been locked/deleted, PM an Anandtech Moderator and/or one of the more prominent forum members, asking for some clarification (because ultimately, you don't want to do it again).

3. Otherwise, just shrug it off and go on about your business. In the grand scheme of things, it really doesn't matter all that much.
