when you go about having no sleep for about 24 hours, just after that time (around 26 or 27 hours of no sleep) your body "wakes up" and becomes alert and and what seems to feel fully functional? i find this weird...

any ideas?

i think you can 24hrs without sleep and still function fine...2nd day though you go caput

i've pulled all nighters before...it depends kidna what you're doing.

if you're just surfing net all day/night..you'll probably be ok.

if you were at a lan party eating junk food and 2000 pop you'd die/ be sick next day.

blah gonna go respond into the jayleno thread.

Because of your body clock.

Your body figures that it's not going to get any sleep during the "day" (depending on when the day is for you), so it had better get ready for more being up.

That's my guess.

yeah, like your body is telling you to slep, until it realises you aint gonna so it just gives up and lets you be awake

Yeah I agree, just like some people even find it very difficult to sleep in the day even if they are really tired.

I have only done it once....and the next day I managed to build by brothers PC, then drove home, still alert....got in and promptly collapsed.

If that's the case, my body clock is extremely screwed up.

Sometimes I can go days without being able to sleep... other times I can barely make it 10 hours without having to crash.
