Why is it that some get banned or warned and others do not?

The smiley pics I thought was a bannable offense. I think I saw that somewhere. Why has this been allowed to stay?

We wish we could allow smiley art and graphic links on our forums. Unfortunately, they use a lot of bandwidth, so on a forum this large, they slow the forums for everyone.

We have posted announcements in the past. If it becomes a serious problem, we will do so again. If those warnings are ignored we will take stronger actions. The members who posted them in your link have been warned.

Because there are different mods that impose different punishments (or nothing at all) for questionable things. Also, maybe the mod hasn't seen it. They can't see everything ya know...

The mod probably hasn't seen it. They can't read all zillion threads that get posted. If you'd like to alert a mod to a problem, send them a pm or post in FI.
