Why is it that others can't view my live webcam broadcast?

I run xP, and i don't have the firewall turned on. And for some reason, the only person able to view it was my friend, who is also using the same OS, settings, and isp. Are those people unable to reach my live broadcast because of their firewall settings? But you figure that shouldn't be a problem, since they're not sending anything out upon request. And i've tried different ports as well, that didn't seem to help anything. Does anyone have a clue as to what i can do?

Sorry, my bad. Can't you try a different internet webcam uplink thingee provider? I actually have no idea what I saying.

I couldn't see it here... my girlfriend's actually having the same problem. She's trying to get the school to open up the right port in a firewall so it will work. Don't know what your problem could be, sorry.

I use VisionGS. It's very stable (unlike 90% of the other webcam apps), and supports live streams and/or FTP uploads with thumbnails and overlays. Pretty nice. It can also archive captures and cycle through multiple cameras. It's only about $25 too (they have a free personal edition).
