A while back, I installed a set of Orion HCCA 5s components in my car. I bi-amped them. The instructions say that you are to cut 2 pairs of wires on the crossover when bi-amping. I do that. About two weeks later, a tweeter goes bad. The impedence should have been 4 ohms, but it was coming up 28 ohms. I arrange to get an RMA and send the speakers in. About a month later, I get them back. I open them up, find a note scrawled onto the cardboard box "why you cut wires on x-over?". To top it off, the midrange dust cap was crushed. Bastards. I sent an email explaining the problem. They wanted me to pay to ship them again! Screw that. They finally agree to send me a "brand new" tweeter. It's going to be a refurb I'm sure. :|
A good experiance: I lost a screw that screws down the 12volt line going to my Aura MR4150q amp. The screw was kind of an odd, oversize screw that I couldn't find at any hardware store. I emailed Aura asking them for a part number or something. Within the hour, they replied asking me for my home address so that they could send me a replacement screw. Nice guys.
If only more companies were like that...
