Why is it that Asian women are so rude when they bump into you/knock you/need to get past you...

I think Asians are less polite.

Go to Taiwan, go to China. I get enraged there. It pisses me off how they drive, how they push you around, how they give you service. Look at Chinese restaurants. I get so pissed there at service sometimes....

I'm just waiting for the obligatory: "So what does <insert race> have to do with anything" or "And being <insert race> has to do with this how?"

c'mon...who will be the first to post that in all seriousness.

Ok, I'm Asian. I will readily admit that even among ABCs like me, we aren't exactly as polite as our white counterparts. I can readily testify that Asians in general aren't as polite. I think everyone has to admit that. I sometimes do wish we emphasized more on such etiquette in our growing up, but that's just not the case.

Have you ever bothered to think that people notice a pattern of this impoliteness and then formulate an image of Asians that they do not like based on your habits and actions.....and then you call them racists if they don't care for Asians? This is not a flame, I am curious. I don't have a particular problem with Asians myself but I have noticed they are not usually polite and tend to be arrogant....but if I, as a white guy, were to mention this observation I would immediately be labeled a racist. Maybe people should pay a little more attention to the image they project.

I have not called anyone racist, and as long as anyone doesn't post anything too offensive, then cool.

Maybe it's because I accept what you say I understand that maybe us Asians aren't htat polite.

But doesn't the whole "racism" thing hold true with any ethnic group? If you talk about any other ethnic group, chances are you will be labeled racist, even if you arent

I don't know about that. I generally thing Mid West is a LOT more polite. But at the same time when we work wtih East coast people through video conferences, we always think they are the rude ones. Who knows?

New Yorkers polite?

well, generally it's the bigger cities/west coast that is more rude. generally speaking. Of course, the Northwest, midwest, south have extremely warm, friendly people. as a bay area guy, it's rather frightening :Q
