Why is it suddenly fashionable to whine about Red Dawn?

I've noticed that a lot more people seem to be taking Red Dawn's remarks personally lately. Is it simply a result of the "n00b" invasion; people who don't know enough to understand that Red's just joking around in fun, or does it go deeper than that? I disagree with Red almost all the time, and he's had opportunity to rip into me plenty of times. I've managed to get a few jibes in on him too (not that my insults match his by any stretch of the imagination). I'm mainly curious about any theories as to why there has been this sudden increase in persons who are complaining about Red, I don't recall this much whining about it before.

Come on people, it's just a little bit of flaming. Get over it.

I agree,besides he livens the place up, it gets rather dull around here when he's not posting much,he's always an entertaining read 🙂 !

I'v been reading his posts ever since he joined, they used to be funny and sometimes they still are, but lately they are often just not suitable, sortof like when Ellidan got banned for turning a happy easter thread into a religous flamefest
 
I think he's a cool guy. Maybe people just can't handle him. Therefore, they shouldn't engage in conversation with him.
 
Everyone takes aim at the top gun. Once he's taken down and his spirit and will are crushed, the next "Red Dawn" will step up, and then he/she will be ripped on. Natural selection, and he's an easy target.

Because he's an Old Fart who rips into people everytime his depends gets soiled. Frankly I'm sick of him and wish he'd just retire into an old folks home with the rest of the Dinasaurs that use to inhabit this forum. I've never been flamed by him but I've often been disgusted by his childish remarks. What is he, 65 going on 8? Hey Red FOAD you old goat, who needs you anyways.

Hey I firgured that if I can't flame others I might as well flame the only person who isn't going to snivel 🙂
 
Getting ripped by Red is kind of like an initiation here. You really don't feel like you belong until it happens to you. Of course the people that whine about Red instead of giving it back to him would probably burst into tears if someone raised their voice to them. Get over it or move along.
