Why is it so quiet?

@ Zap - Thank you for that post! Really, people should just relax. Just imagine the stress all this is creating especially for buyers looking for new computer hardware! In fact, most purchases have become quite stress inducing.

I just picked up GoW, CoD4, Bioshock, and MoA:Airborne last weekend... surprisingly, a x1900xt runs Bioshock decently at 19x12, high settings... it is gonna be quiet for a while.

I was surprised that Bioshock ran so well even with my x1950 Pro 512mb equipped Athlon XP 3200 😉

what does "AEGers" mean?
is it - Anandtech Engineers?😕

LOL, no.

A while back there were forum members who were payed (in free/discounted hardware) by a marketing group (AEG) to artificially generate and maintain pro-nVidia sentiment in public forums such as this Video forum.

Anyway, there was a huge backlash in the community over false information being posted here, and the resulting flamewars quickly got the whole forum involved, so some people were banned. AEG is very unpopular here, and calling them engineers would be a bit of a stretch...

I think "Rollo" was the name of the user who either started all this or became famous for taking it all down in flames with him. Rollo is no longer "with us" -- at least in that capacity.
